currently a mod for arma 2 but has a standalone version coming into alpha soon
its set in a fictional post soviet state of chenarus
its bascially a zombie apocolypse sim where u have to search the 225km square map for supplies like guns,bandages,food and drink
it is possible to die from starvation,dehydration and blood loss
u can also find vehicles like boats,cars and helicopters which might have flat tires,broken engines or no fuel in which case u have to take it off a different vehicle or find it in a shed or barn etc
and this is the best part, there are other ppl somewhere on the map u can team up with or kill and take there stuff
night tim is really scarey because its pitch black and if u run around with ur flashlight or flare ppl can see u from miles away plus there can be players with night vision goggles who can easily see u plus players in ghille suits who can easily stalk u
there r multiple huge maps ranging from cities with fully enterable buildings to harsh wilderness inside a mountain range
the game is currently on pc but its also coming to ps4

the medical system is complex right now (breaking bones etc) but it will be more complex in the standalone version
u can also troll ur friends alot in standaloe
examples of trolls:
poison your friends food
throw up on your friend when he's asleep
throw up in your friends food
**** in his canteen
bring him into the middle of the forest, break his legs,set him on fire and eat him (my favourite)
slash his tires
leave a bear trap in front of his tent

pulling a shane is a walking dead referance used by the DayZ community where u shoot ur friend in the leg when ur being chased by zombies so the zombies eat him/her and u can escape |
